What types of issues does homeopathy assist with?

Homeopathy can assist with a wide variety of health issues; the list below is not exhaustive:

Female issues – PMS, heavy periods, painful periods

Chronic (long term) illness – fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, depression, anxiety, GERD, acid reflux, arthritis, chronic pain, auto-immune disorders, asthma

Acute (short term) illness – Cold, flu, allergies, sprains, strains, surgery recovery

Do you use LMs?

You will be happy to know that I have been trained extensively in the use of LMs and it is what I choose to treat my patients who suffer from chronic illness with. Please see the LM FAQs page for more information.

How long is an appointment?

Each appointment time is an estimate and may require more or less time depending on your personal need.

Initial consultation - approximately 3 hours

Follow-up appointment - approximately 30 minutes

Extended Follow-up appointment - approximately 45 minutes

Acute (short-term) illness - approximately 15 minutes

What happens at a consultation?

We start by discussing your main health concerns.

The next step is what I call a head to toe check I ask questions regarding multiple body systems to get a better picture of what is going on with your body.

We then do an emotional timeline or life story, because what we go through in life directly affects our health. This also helps to paint the picture of emotional health.

Lastly, I ask a wide variety of questions that may seem random but help me select the appropriate remedy.

Do you use machines or testing equiment to select a remedy?

No, I do not. I practice what is considered classical homeopathy which involves in-depth study of homeopathic remedies and their uses. In my experience by having a thorough consultation we can more accurately pinpoint the needed remedy. Also, the machines or testing equipment that select remedies are not dealing in LMs which are the best choice in dealing with chronic health concerns.

How soon until I notice improvement?

Acute Illness/injury: You may notice improvement in as little as a few minutes.

Chronic illness: Overall you should be seeing some beneficial changes within a month of starting a well-chosen remedy. There are a few factors which will help answer this question. The first is how long you have had your chronic condition. If it is an ailment you have had for a number of years, it will take more time to address than if you just developed it a few months ago. You can expect to have one follow-up appointment per month at the outset. This will allow me to closely follow your progress and recommend any adjustments, if needed. As a good remedy is established, you may find you are able to space your appointments out for longer stretches.

Do I have to take the remedies forever?

We allow a person’s body to guide us as to when they no longer need a remedy. Depending on the issue you may need the remedy a few days in the case of an acute illness like a cold. For chronic illnesses you may need to be on the remedy for a longer time to get the full benefit. Homeopathy is not an instant solution but achieves results over time.

Are there any foods or activities I need to avoid while receiving homeopathic treatment?

We always encourage a balanced lifestyle of diet and exercise. However, there are no specific foods or activities that must be avoided while undergoing homeopathic treatment.

I do typically ask a patient not to start or stop any other treatments in the first couple of months of homeopathic treatment so we can really tell how homeopathy is benefitting the patient.

Will the remedies interact with my medications?

No! Homeopathy is a wonderful complement to medical treatment. Homeopathic remedies do not work on the chemical level like allopathic medicines do so there are rarely, if ever, any contraindications.

If you are seeing alleviation of your symptoms and wish to reduce your prescription medication, you will need to work closely with your medical doctor to do so. Do not stop any medications before consulting with your medical doctor.

Where are you located?

I am located in Montana, but at this time, all consultations are done through video chat. My preferred platform is a free application called Zoom. I am happy to see clients near or far!

Is homeopathy covered by insurance?

Homeopathy is not covered by health insurance. However, if you have a flexible savings account (FSA) or a health savings account (HSA) you may be able to use these funds. You would need to contact your plan to see if it is covered or not.

Are the homeopathic remedies expensive?

There typically is no additional cost for the remedies prescribed in conjunction with an appointment, if a patient needs additional remedies between appointments there is a small charge to help cover postage and my time to prepare the remedies.

If you wish to purchase an acute homeopathic kit or an individual remedy vial please see the shop page.
